More fun will come

I am looking forward to tomorrow and at the same time I'm a little nervous because I've never done such a thing before. Today was annoying trying to edit some audio and near enough everyone talking and me barely able to hear my audio.

Lately we have decided still to keep it 2.5D, and adding load of killing moves, but we should be talking about the presentation we have to do next Friday. Well I need to introduce ourselves due to being the team leader and the accountant, but mostly the leader. Well other then continued talking about the game I still think we are heading in the right direction.

FNV is now completed

If you are wondering what FNV is it's Fallout New Vegas. Yep completed this shows how much free time I have. I think this game could of been better, such as the robots voice should of been kept the same other then getting new voices, the major thing that would make it better is to get rid of all the bugs, etc.

Well I now have time to think about the demo and we've decided that they are going to be 10 weapons over all and need 3 kills with each weapon. This could possibly be a bit of work but I'm sure it's gonna be worth while. Other then that we still need to discuss many other things but that can be sorted out when we next discuss

The Joy of depression

Tis nothing worst the a random depression that sneaks past and makes the one feel bad. Kind of how I'm feeling at the moment, but enough of that. Today I have done a little research into 2.5D game engine I found one call DxIce that supports 2D/2.5D/3D but you have to sign up to get it. I have also emailed the creators of "Blade Kitten" cus its the newest 2.5D that I know of. I only asked what the engige is called is and if its free or has to be brought. I am waiting for the reply, But I hate it when I'm not paying attention and get a email from Facebook, Newgrounds, or others. And I finally got an email back about the cost of advertising and it's the most basic answer ever and I qoute;


It could be from ten pounds to to millions of pounds depending on what the advertising budget is and what media the adverts will run on (posters, radio, TV, Google ads etc).

We have decided that our demo will not be 3D but 2.5D and make look a bit retro. I think this a good idea because;

A) This will knock some money off the accounting.
B) Makes it easier to program, art, etc
C) Less stressful.
D) More fun.

Still keeping the story and everything but adding a few retro touches like a health bar, timer points, etc

Is in love with The Big O soundtrack

People may know that I'm a bit of a fan boy when it comes to The Big O, This is true and recently I felt like listening to music and decided to put some on YouTube. After a while I thought of The Big O and I'm in awe of the complete AWESOMENESS of the music. I would like to see a game of The Big O or possibly the movie. If they did come out I would be rather happy. Most of the music is made by a piano and if I knew how to play them I would play them all the time. Putting orchestrated music in anime or games just lifts them up to a new level. Even though not many people has heard or seen The Big O. The music fits in so well and makes the viewer more involved.

I would like some music like this into a game possibly the demo, but it needs to be discussed. We've not talked much about music within the demo. This might be the topic of discussion on Monday, but more likely what going to happening in the demo. I'm guessing music will come later in the developing stage. We have been dealt a massive blow with our main weapon within the demo. I cannot think of many idea for the demo, sometimes I can think at the spur of the moment while listening to the other members. Soon we should be making a presentation which I'm not looking forward to but it MUST be done so I shall not falter.

Blog time

Right the college weeks has ended and now for time being by ones self. I continue to wait for the new Fallout but it wont be long now.

Today in lesson I got in contact with 3 game publishers asking how much advertising was. I asked Rising star, Capcom and 505 Games and waiting for a reply for them all. But I also edited the accounting again from getting it down by calculating how much would we save if we used low spec computers. All I can say it was a fair bit, Other then that I was grumpy while was looking up any other game publishers. Most were for MMO or something like a Facebook game. I wonder if we could use a social site as an advertiser. It could possibly work.

Yet another day

Yet another day stuck inside but at least today I've had a good walk to Bulhell, Aren't I the lucky one. But other then that Ive been playing Fallout 3 GotY. Nothing is more fun then shooting "ol' painless" into the head of some unsuspecting people/beasts in V.A.T.S and watching their cranium explode and looting the corpse for caps or ammo. I am playing Fallout 3 due to A) that its in my gaming pie (once forgot the L in pile) and B) that the new Fallout is coming out soon which I am looking forward to.

I do think I have been playing it a bit too much of late due me referring myself to Fawkes in my last blog. And now feeling in a slightly better mood then last time I wrote my blog. There are things are still upon my mind which still need to pondered about but they will come to me in due time.
